Introductory Training

Three-part introductory series designed to support early educators to

• Build awareness, knowledge, and strategies in inquiry and project-based learning (PBL)
• Develop skills to create and design inclusive, long-term investigations and provocations throughout the year
• Develop strategies to create documentation that includes and makes visible the CA Preschool Learning Foundations; DRDP measures; and diversity, equity, and inclusion indicators.

- Content throughout the series is aligned with the Quality Counts CA and CDE quality improvement strategies and resources, including the CA Preschool Learning Foundations and Curriculum Framework, DRDP, and ECERS.
- Strategies for engaging families through inquiry and projects will be discussed throughout the series.
-Teacher vignettes spotlight implementation of inquiry and project-based learning, in partnership with Center of Gravity early education lab school.

Training Guidelines

• Training Commitment is important. Be present & engaged. Make mindfulness a practice.
• All participants must register for the training in order to participate. Trainers will do roll call.
• Full commitment to training series. No partial Professional Development hours are given.
• Early Learning San Francisco Educators and SFQC Coaches may participate in the training.

** Participants must attend the entire series, NO partial PD hours will be given**
