Professional Learning Communities, also known as Communities of Practice and Critical Friends’ Groups, give us a framework to transform our reflection into actions that benefit ourselves, our children, our families, our colleagues, and our communities. This two-part professional development workshop will help you gain skills and tools to successfully facilitate Professional Learning Communities in your Early Childhood context. Participants will: -Discuss the needs of adult learners -Learn about the evolution of PLCs -Share experiences as reflective educators -Study facilitation strategies and approaches -Discover the power of protocols -Brainstorm how to frame discussions, dilemmas, and cases -Practice protocols for facilitation -Plan for the implementation of PLCs INFORMATION Dates:
