This training provides a framework for ECE educators when they have concerns that a child in their care might have a developmental delay, disability, or significant behavior problem. Participants will discuss various ways family members might receive and act on an expressed concern. By the end of the training, participants will have strategies to help them prepare to share concerns with a child’s parents or family members (anyone raising the child).

This is an In-depth training for Teaching Staff, Administration/Leadership Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers.

This training will cover:
- Special Needs and Inclusion: Participants will learn a framework that supports them with their concerns about a child in their care. Participants will learn strategies on how to share concerns with parents or parent guardians of a child. Participants will explore the different ways family members will receive and act on the expressed concerns.
Early learning standards/foundations:
- Infant Care (Birth - 18 Months)
- Toddler Care (19 - 36 Months)
- Preschool (3 - 5 Years)
- Adults in ECE

Attendance credit will not be awarded to participants who:
• Enter 10-minute after the session start time.
• Leave for more than 10 minutes during the session.
• Leave 10 minutes early before the session ends.
