Presented by: Brian Silveira, Preschool Teacher at Pacific Primary in San Francisco & Preschool Teacher Encian Pastel at Children’s Community Center, School Librarian, Childcare Activist, and Storyteller.

As a preschool teacher, Brian believes that it is his role to nurture a sense of wonder and inquiry in children and their families. He accomplishes this by creating an innovative environment and curriculum that focuses on the child's emergent ideas and interests. Unlike the traditional ideas that children are "empty vessels waiting to be filled," He believes that children have a vivid inner world, filled with creative ideas and knowledge.

In this virtual professional learning session, Brian & Encian will show ways of engaging with children and families, using Zoom as a model. Brian will share some technical support, challenges and successes, curriculum ideas and answer questions.
