Preparing for a big disaster such as flooding, wild fires, and earthquakes requires a lot of planning. Learn how to be prepared for emergencies and disasters in order to reduce injury, loss, and destruction,in addition; keeping children and staff safe until reunited with families, and planning for a relocation site. Preparing monthly will help you stay organized during the disaster. Incentives will be available at the training.

This is an Overview/Introductory training for Teaching Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers.
Prior knowledge or experience needed:
- None
This training will cover:
- Health, Safety, and Nutrition: Participants will learn about disaster preparedness in their child care business. Participants will practice evacuation drills with life like dolls imitating the children. Participants will learn how to respond to various types of drills such as earthquake and fire drills
Early learning standards/foundations:
- Infant Care (Birth - 18 Months)
- School Age/Elementary (Kindergarten - 6th grade)
- Toddler Care (19 - 36 Months)
