The Foundational Language Development subdomain covers the foundations of language and literacy development in any language a child may be learning. It is designed for use with all monolingual and multilingual children.

This is an In-depth This is a training for Teaching Staff, Mentors and Professional Growth Advisors, Administration/Leadership Staff, Assessors/Evaluators, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Faculty, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers, Special Educators/Early Interventionists, Resource & Referral Staff, Home Visitors, Trainers, Coaches.

This training will cover:
- Child Development and Learning: Review the PTKLF Foundational Language Development FLD subdomain for children aged three to five and a half years. Build understanding of the FLD subdomain. Gain understanding of how the PTKLF are representative and inclusive of childrens cultures, languages, and lived experiences. Identify how teachers can support FLD.
