This is an Overview/Introductory training for Teaching Staff, Mentors and Professional Growth Advisors, Administration/Leadership Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers, Special Educators/Early Interventionists, Resource & Referral Staff.
Prior knowledge or experience needed:

This training will cover:
- Child Development and Learning: Review the PTKLF Foundational Language Development FLD subdomain for children aged three to five and a half years. Build understanding of the FLD subdomain. Gain understanding of how the PTKLF are representative and inclusive of childrens cultures, languages, and lived experiences. Identify how teachers can support FLD.
Early learning standards/foundations:
- Preschool (3 - 5 Years)
- Transitional Kindergarten (4 - 5 Years)
Is this a Pathway Training? No
Attendance to both sessions is required to receive credit. We do not issue partial credit.
This training is on PTLKF Language and Literacy, but will incorporate some Perceptual Motor and Movement with Language Conventions/Grammar.
