Today''s training emphasizes the importance of self-care as a vital tool in trauma-informed practice, enabling us to provide nurturing services to children while adhering to the principle of "do no harm." While many of us are passionate about helping children, those with trauma histories can often be challenging and may lead us to question our skills. To effectively support these children, we need to maintain strong emotional and physical reserves. When our energy is depleted, we risk becoming reactive and using punitive disciplinary measures, which can cause further harm. This session encourages reflection on our practices and highlights self-care as a means to restore our energy and enhance our effectiveness in supporting children. Today is dedicated to prioritizing your well-being.
