In the first module of this series developed by Zero to Three, you will gain an understanding of young children''s interest and capacity in communication exchanges during their first three years. Learn how to identify strategies and practices for extending children''s communication during teacher-child interactions. Recognize the communicative intent that dual/multilingual learners demonstrate and identify strategies for encouraging and building on it in ways that are meaningful to them.

This is an In-depth training for Teaching Staff, Administration/Leadership Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers.

This training will cover:
- Child Development and Learning: Participants will learn the following: -Gain understanding of children''''s interest and capacity to engage in communication exchanges -Explore strategies that support, facilitate and extend children''''s communication -Recognize effects of limited language environment on the development of communication skills in children. -Identify communicative intents by Dual/Multilingual learners.
