We live in a sexualized society where gender roles are often tightly defined. Understanding the human body and gender is a vital part of a child’s development, and the topics covered can be sensitive and complex. This training offers a framework to support a child’s understanding of their growing body and their assigned gender. Topics discussed in this training include;

This is an Overview/Introductory training for Teaching Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers.

- None
This training will cover:
- Health, Safety, and Nutrition: Topics discussed in this training include
- - Examination of developmental health - Review the CA Healthy Youth Act - How to talk about bodies & consent - Gender & body exploration - General overview of puberty
Early learning standards/foundations:
- Infant Care (Birth - 18 Months)
- School Age/Elementary (Kindergarten - 6th grade)
- Toddler Care (19 - 36 Months)
- After-School/Out-of-School Time
- Preschool (3 - 5 Years)
- Transitional Kindergarten (4 - 5 Years)
