The Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) is a quality improvement project that delivers training and support for prospective and licensed family child care providers. Providers will receive a series of free workshops, assistance in understanding licensing requirements, technical support, mentoring, and virtual networking with other child care providers. Better understand the structure and purpose of the Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) and discover the ways in which this program will provide support and guidance as you become a licensed child care provider, how to use the Early Care & Education Workforce Registry, compare the similarities and differences between being a licensed provider and an exempt provider. Before the end of the session you will learn to evaluate the advantages of starting a new business, as well as the challenges of being a business owner, cover how to create a start-up plan and receive hands-on experience creating a business plan.

This is a 6-week cohort event.
April 9, 2024 – May 14, 2024
Meeting Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Meeting Times: 6:00pm- 8:30PM

This cohort is ONLY open to participants living in CCRC’s Service Area.
The San Fernando, Santa Clarita, Antelope Valley, and San Bernardino County (except for cities west of Fontana)

If you are not in the CCRC service area, please visit, https://rrnetwork.org/family-services/find-child-care to find your local Resource & Referral Program to inquire about their CCIP program.

Participants must attend Day 1 (Introduction to The Child Care Initiative Project...) session, to be admitted into cohort. Participants must ensure full participation and attendance on all workshop dates. If you miss one or two classes, you will be encouraged to attend make-up sessions during a different cohort.

Attendance credit will not be awarded to participants who:
• Enter 10-minute after the session start time.
