Trauma Responsive Social Emotional Learning
We are excited to roll out our new 2021 professional development series in partnership with CALM! CALM is beginning an ongoing series of services to build “universal Supports” for preschool mental and behavioral health. CALM will create learning environments that are supportive of the social-emotional needs of all children in our county. These trainings will help child care professionals better understand the meaning of children’s challenging behaviors so appropriate supports and practices are implemented. These one-hour trainings will be made available for affiliated staff and care providers to attend on a monthly basis. Topics are selected from a slate of trainings focused on positive discipline, de-escalation strategies, active listening, social emotional learning, and other trauma-informed practices to build capacity of our ECE field.
Join us this month for our first training opportunity introducing the Teacher Tool Box and self-regulation. Participants are welcome to attend all trainings or drop in once in a while.
