Through video, presentation, panel and small group discussion, training participants will be introduced to the Alameda County Fathers Corps (ACFC) and Father-Friendly Principles, and hear directly from fathers about their experiences, joys, and challenges as parents. Studies show that children thrive when their fathers are actively, consistently, and positively involved in their lives. As service providers, we should do our best to see, support, and serve fathers and father-figures. This training will provide insight into fathers’ needs, strategies for effectively engaging fathers and father-figures, and useful tips for creating a father-friendly environment.

This is an In-depth This is a training for Teaching Staff, Administration/Leadership Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers.

  • Family and Community Engagement: Participants will:1. Review and discuss father friendly principles2.Brainstorm ways to be a more father friendly service provider,3.Gain a better understanding of the experiences of fathers and father figures.

Participant must attend inperson for the 3hour training.
